2. Snub - Netflix's Marvel Shows Miss Out

Jon Snow Jessica Jones

There's not a lot of love of Netflix's drama series this year, with House of Cards holding all the, er, cards. Alongside Orange Is The New Black, it's also a surprise to see both of its Marvel shows missing out, which have been a big hit with critics and audiences alike.

Daredevil probably didn't expect to get much attention (although it did get a deserved nomination for Stunt Coordination), but it's certainly a bit surprising, and a massive shame, not to see Jessica Jones given any love (outside of recognising its main titles).

Beyond being a superhero show, it was a smart, hard-hitting drama that tackled issues such as PTSD, rape, alcoholism, abortion, depression and more, and did so with great sensitivity, while also crafting a hugely entertaining comic book show that looked great and featured some stellar acting, and Krysten Ritter can certainly count herself unlucky not to receive any recognition.
