Emmys 2016 Nominations: 12 Major Shocks & Snubs

10. Snub - Catastrophe Misses Out

Jon Snow Jessica Jones
Channel 4

On the plus side, Catastrophe has at least been somewhat recognised this year, with creators Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan getting a nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.

On the downside, that's not really enough. Catastrophe is one of the very best sitcoms around at the moment, with two excellent seasons under its belt that serve as some of the best rom-com work you'll find anywhere at the moment, regardless of screen size. It's hilarious, disgusting, emotional, and at times all-too-real.

The Emmys got most of the Comedy Series nods right, but somehow Modern Family continues to sleepwalk its way to nominations, while this gem remains rather hidden.
