Emmys 2017: 9 Ups & 6 Downs
2. Charlie Brooker Wins Two Emmys
British viewers will no doubt have found it incredibly surreal to see Charlie Brooker, the bloke who used to write for PC Zone magazine before rising to fame with his hilarious BBC series Screen Wipe, up on the Emmy stage collecting not one but two awards for the Black Mirror episode "San Junipero".
The aforementioned category fraud issue aside, it was great to witness Brooker scooping major plaudits for his incredible work, and it'll be interesting to see if this leads to even more high-profile projects for the satirist in the future.
Either way, it'll be damn weird to see him doing his usual end-year Wipe now that he's a huge, huge deal.
