Who Should Win

David Thewlis

The strongest part of Fargo's third season isn't actually nominated (see: Mary Elizabeth Winstead), but Thewlis was still pretty great himself as the latest iteration's antagonist. Looking creepy as heck, Thewlis' performance was more than just a disconcerting smile, affecting his whole performance with an odd, sinister nature that shone even when the rest of the season didn't.

Who Will Win

Alexander Skarsgård

It's a bit of an open field, this, but the former True Blood star should just about shade it. As mentioned, Big Little Lies is a buzzy series and its cast are set to reap the benefits of that. Skarsgård's role is a difficult one as he plays such a monster, which might turn some voters off, but he does it so well - and in a way that really stands out - that the statue will probably head his way anyway.
