Doctor Algernop Krieger has a lot of the same issues as Cheryl, in that he often feels a little too much in the show. However, he ranks higher as his unique position at least centres around something less commonly seen on TV. As a scientist, he brings a lot of sci-fi elements to the table, and this has often given the show a remarkable ability to play with hilarious scenarios, leading him to be a significant presence even if he is only "technically" a doctor.

There have been a lot of allusions to the fact that Krieger may be a clone of Adolf Hitler. This is a hilarious proposition, and although the character stoutly denies it, it would explain a lot of his unfavourable desires and antics. This joke displays how although every role in the show has a dark edge, Krieger is one of the darkest, giving him a distinct presence.

Finally, the character could easily be the cliché mad scientist, with his name even being a reference to the classic sci-fi story Flowers for Algernon. However, the show goes in a different direction to make him still suit the archetype but deliver something a little more interesting.
