Every Archer Lead Ranked Worst To Best
4. Cyril Figgis
Many viewers don't like Cyril, as he is not only a rather pathetic person but often exists to be a foil for Archer. However, the fact that he is so unlikeable is precisely the kind of charm that makes the character work so well. It seems that Chris Parnell is the master of this typecast, as his performance in Archer and his role of Jerry in Rick and Morty both display this perfectly.
But Cyril is not only presented to be a weakling with barely any spine. He also gets plenty of development which gives his character a lot of nuances. For example, the introduction of him being a sex addict was an amusing occurrence in the show that gave a lot of cause for conflict and narrative.
Additionally, he is one of the only characters to grow in regards to their biggest weakness, as throughout the show his confidence develops and he becomes a little more suited to his job.
One of the main reasons he works so well is that he is the perfect contrast to Archer, as Sterling is an action focused spy and Cyril is a pencil pusher who shows the uncool side of the spy business.
In a business there has to be someone who does the paperwork and looks after the accounts, and that's Cyril.
