13. Caprica

Battlestar Galactica
NBC

Okay, so Caprica really isn't a bad show, the only problem was that it set out to tell a grand story set over a number of years and that it just didn't get the chance to do that. One of the things that Ronald D. Moore attempted to do with this particular show was attempt to engage an audience that was quite as testosterone heavy as the traditional Galactica (reimagined) audience.

The problem is that the majority of the characters were male and engaged in the patriarchal role for both their families, which didn't appeal to as large an audience as Moore was hoping. While the show was admirable in its depiction of family strife and one man's obsession with bringing his daughter back to life, after her tragic death in a terrorist bombing.

Caprica again only lasted the one season and it failed to achieve an significant audience, it's regarded as a critically well received and powerful show in its own right, cut short far too soon.

Still bitter that Star Trek Enterprise got canned and almost old enough to angrily tell the kids to 'Get Off My Lawn!'
