Every Breaking Bad Easter Egg In The Walking Dead

3. The Song

Fear The Walking Dead Negro y Azul
AMC

Although not actually The Walking Dead itself, spin-off show Fear The Walking Dead is very much in the same world as its parent show, and thus the connection is worth mentioning. If anything, the fact it's in two different shows just hammers home how much they're trying to tell us they're in the same universe. Probably.

In Season 3 episode The Diviner, Madison and Qaletaqa visit a Mexican bazaar. As they stroll through the crowds, we're treated to a lot of sights and sounds, including a song that will be very familiar to anyone who watched Breaking Bad.

The song in question is Negro y Azul, which first appeared in Breaking Bad Season 2's episode of the same name. Sure, it's just a song - but then it's not like this was a song Breaking Bad happened to use. Performed in the cold open of the episode, it was written specifically for the show, and is about Heisenberg. It's a great Easter egg, but at the same time there's no reason for it to exist in Fear The Walking Dead's world unless Heisenberg did too.
