Batwoman gets a bad rap because a trailer that failed to highlight anything good about the show. The fact that it's nothing like that trailer suggested is undoubtedly something to celebrate, but saying only that wouldn't be enough to do it justice.
In a single season, the show went from mildly-decent-if-a-little-flat to arguably the best show in the current iteration of the Arrowverse. Its central arc - which revolves around the Scarlet Knight's battles with her thought-to-be-dead twin sister Alice - is a great interpretation of the source material while Ruby Rose proved herself to be a solid lead.
