Every Death In The Simpsons Ranked

21. Professor Huntington (Homer The Moe)

Simpsons Death
FOX

Back in Season 13, Moe returns to his old bartending university to rekindle his love for the profession. In doing so, he encounters his old lecturer, Professor Huntington, and well, let's just say things don't end well for him.

In a scene right out of a hard-hitting drama, Moe and Huntington are stood by a lake when the teacher confesses that he is dying. After rhetorically (and then sincerely) asking Moe if he has a cure for cancer, the Professor says goodbye and walks into the lake. Despite Moe mistaking this for him going "swimming", it's pretty clear what's really going on.

Huntington's death was confirmed when he appeared before Moe as a ghost, chastising him for converting his tavern into a swanky modern bar. Whilst this does prompt Moe to reach out to his former customers - who have abandoned him for a makeshift boozer in Homer's garage - this is pretty much the only thing the prof's death achieves.

Considering how harrowing his demise is, it is barely mentioned in the episode as it morphs into a story about Homer trying to shoot a turkey. A good idea badly executed, this death would not pass any university class.
