Every Dragon Ball Z Saga Ranked From Worst To Best
18. Peaceful World
Parting, as Juliet had said to Romeo, is such sweet sorrow.
With Kid Buu finally defeated not much was left for the series but to finally unlace the fighting boots and take a load off. During a party episode fans got to see familiar faces like Mr. Satan, Dende and even Good Buu, Goku's gets himself into some trouble and has to protect some dinosaur eggs.
It's fluff and filler, sure, but after all the intensity of the Buu sagas, it felt nice to turn things down a few notches.
Fans got to see what changes a peaceful world would bring to the characters, with Goten and Trunks growing up while Vegeta welcomed another child into the world. Gohan would give up on fighting for academic and parental pursuits, getting a daughter of his own.
The real intrigue of the arc though comes from the beginning of another martial arts tournament. There, Goku encounters the reincarnated Buu, this time with a good spirit, known as Uub. Goku would eventually see some of the kid's potential when they squared off against each other in the tournament.
With Uub agreeing to be trained by Goku, the series ended on an endearing note that would eventually lead fans into all the pain and disappointment that came with Dragon Ball GT.
Peaceful World offers a nice feel-good ending, but not much beyond that.
