So let's all look back over those last few episodes. A lot of crazy stuff has happened, but I think we can all agree that the vast majority of the show has been taken up by the feud between Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin - with particular attention being paid to Joe's often extremely violent language, on screen threats and even him gunning down a mannequin standing in her place. But for the most part this all seemed like ridiculous theatrics, because Joe Exotic is a ridiculous, over the top man. No one would seriously expect him to follow through on these threats, not really.

Then in The Noble Thing To Do, James Garreston informs the FBI that Joe had, in fact, attempted to take out a hit on Carole Baskin and. Je. Sus. Christ. Just when you genuinely thought this show couldn't possibly get anymore mental, a (second) murder conspiracy gets thrown into the goddamn mix. Not only that but apparently Joe had been attempting to have this hit taken out for years! And perhaps the only reason Carole survived is the fact that Joe couldn't scrape together enough money. Goddamn.

Thank god Joe surrounded himself with rats by the end and made sure the FBI were ahead of the game.
