Every Harry Potter Reference In The Simpsons Ranked

Even as the quality of The Simpsons has declined over the years, the Halloween episodes have always been a bright spot in any season. Treehouse of Horror XII was no different, and was the perfect opportunity to bring a full Harry Potter story to Springfield. The boy who lived himself even appeared, chewing brimstone in Mrs Krabappel’s class.

In the Wiz Kids segment, Bart and Lisa attend Springwarts School of Magicry, and are put straight into practice for the big magic recital. Not much has really changed, Nelson is still a bully, Lisa is still top of the class, and Bart is still useless.

At the big event, Milhouse uses the Invisibility Cloak to make nothing disappear but his clothes, before Lisa attempts to make a dragon levitate. However, all is not as it seems. The Dark Lord Montymort, and his snake sidekick Slithers, hatch a plan to kidnap Lisa and take her magical essence, but they need her wand out of the picture. With Montymort taking the form of the dragon, and Bart swapping his sister’s wand for a twizzler, everything was in place.

Ultimately, the Bartman’s guilt gets the better of him, and he attacks Montymort’s enchanted shin, draining him of all of his power and defeating him once and for all.
