Every Kaiju Confirmed To Appear In Netflix’s Godzilla Singular Point So Far

The giant Pteranodon kaiju Rodan is seen more than most out of all the kaiju in the teaser trailer for Godzilla Singular Point. His usual design, while based loosely on the Pteranodon or Pterodactyl dinosaur, is much more stylised. However, Rodan’s design in Godzilla Singular Point seems to be much closer to that of a real Pteranodon dinosaur.

Another thing of note about the new design is his size, which appears to be considerably smaller than his classic Toho counterpart. A shot of Rodan situated in front of a building with a green roof shows the building, which appears to be no more than three stories high, as taller the kaiju. To date, Rodan’s smallest design was seen in the Shōwa era, and yet even then he dwarfed most buildings.

Physically, Rodan has undergone a lot of changes, as well. He is seen to be more slender here, like a real Pteranodon would have been, as well as featuring four rows of teeth which emulate the same viciousness seen in Godzillas’ design. Rodan is also sporting a new colour scheme, consisting of a vibrant red colour contrasted with yellow, navy blue and cream coloured highlights throughout.

It should also be noted that, near the start of the trailer when Rodan is shown flying overhead, he is trailing that same red mist which is seen engulfing Godzilla and is around most of the kaiju in the trailer.
