Every Love, Death & Robots Episode Ranked

9. Automated Customer Service

The Very Pulse of the Machine
Netflix

If you've never seen an episode of Love, Death & Robots, I'd strongly suggest starting your journey here, with this riotous tale of a tough old woman and her cute dog as they're relentlessly -- and hilariously -- pursued by a haywire vacuum robot.

The perfect cocktail of the anthology's greatest strengths, from its quirky humour, brisk social satire, and strange but gorgeous animation, Automated Customer Service works as both a bracing sci-fi horror and a cool tale of survival.

When Love, Death & Robots tries to be silly, it can come off cringe-worthy or under-developed (think Ice Age and When the Yogurt Took Over), but Automated Customer Service manages to strike a flawless balance between amusing and smart.
