Every Love, Death & Robots Episode Ranked

8. Bad Travelling

The Very Pulse of the Machine
Netflix

It took him three seasons, but Love, Death & Robots producer David Fincher finally sat himself behind the camera for this gloomy tale of betrayal, paranoia, and creepy crawlies set on the high, stormy seas.

Bad Travelling, the longest of the show's episodes, follows the crew of a ship who are set upon by a giant, flesh-eating crab who wants safe passage to a densely populated island for feeding. What follows is a tense story of backstabbing, as the crew battle for their souls and attempt to evade a grisly fate.

Brutal in its twists, horrifying in its imagery, Bad Travelling is a nimble episode that constantly finds new ways to pull the rug from under you, with unsettling results. You can see where it's going, but it'll still shake you to the core.
