While Butch Gilzean has been floating between criminal organisations since the first season of Gotham, he finally settled down working with Tabitha and eventually fell in love with her. It was an interesting dynamic between the two as they fostered a genuine relationship that seemed to beat the odds. He didn't even die after being shot in the head by Barbara when he tried to betray her.

Instead he fell into a coma and was subsequently dumped into Slaughter Swamp where toxic chemicals turned him into the mindless brute, Solomon Grundy. Once he regained his memories he and Tabitha properly reunited to try and find a cure for his condition. His story was a great adaptation of a classic Swamp Thing villain that felt seamless within Gotham.
