Every Marvel Comic Book TV Show Ranked From Worst To Best

3. Legion

Another 2017 entry, which shows just how much Marvel are ramping up their TV output this year, Legion is unlike any other show on this list. In fact, Legion is unlike most other shows on television.

To be fair, nothing less was to be expected given the series was created by Noah Hawley, the creative genius behind the Fargo TV series. He once again channels his singular vision here, giving us a unique superhero TV series, and one that's also incredibly weird, mystifying, and rather brilliant.

It tells the story of David Haller - the titular Legion - who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, and spent his life in and out of mental institutions, much like the one we find him in at the beginning of the series.

However, he's really an incredibly powerful mutant, and a potential pawn to be used in a battle much bigger than him. The series turns David into an unreliable narrator, while complementing the unusual narrative structure with mind-bending visuals and an array of unusual characters.

The show zigs when you expect it to zag, and if you somehow think you've got it all figured out, it finds multiple new ways to surprise you. Sometimes it gets too weird for its own good, but mostly this strange series is utterly sublime.
