4. The Falcon and the Winter Solider

Moon Knight
Marvel

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's first episode, New World Order, features some good Falcon scenes and some good Winter Soldier scenes. Unfortunately, the two leads don't share any scenes, and their chemistry eventually becomes the best part of the show.

The episode reintroduces us to Sam Wilson on a fun, action-y mission, while Bucky Barnes has a therapy session and tires to make amends with himself. While ultimately entertaining. Sam's mission is more introductory than anything. The episode's overall story treads water until the final beat, when a new Captain America, John Walker, makes his debut.

The episode is far from bad, with Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie's performances standing out. It also introduces us to some great new characters, like Sam's sister Sarah Wilson. Plus, it gives us an insight into what it would be like to live as an Avenger. However, it ultimately ranks fairly low since it does not feel as essential to the plot of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier as every subsequent episode.
