Every MCU Disney Plus Pilot Ranked Worst To Best

3. Loki

Moon Knight
Disney Platform Distribution

Loki's pilot, Glorious Purpose, starts off with a scene straight from Avengers: Endgame. After time travelling to 2012, Tony Stark accidentally causes 2012's Loki to steal the tesseract and escape. The episode then continues from Loki's perspective, where he is abducted by the Time Variance Authority for being a "variant," or a person who breached their timeline.

Loki then navigates the world of the TVA, evading his guilty sentence and meeting TVA agent and eventual fan favourite Mobius M. Mobius. Mobius decides to team up with Loki to help catch a slippery variant: Another Loki.

Many previous entries in this list rank low because they ultimately do not accomplish a lot for their series. This is not the case for Glorious Purpose. In one episode, we meet the TVA and Mobius, learn about variants, and are treated to the fun reveal that Loki was, in fact, DB Cooper after losing a bet with Thor.

That said, the episode does not rank higher for the same reason: It has a lot to accomplish, but as such, it is a little overwhelming at times, especially for a pilot. Still, Glorious Purpose is a fun ride that sets up the rest of the series well.
