Every MCU Disney+ Series Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)

2. Loki

Hawkeye tv
Marvel Studios

Throughout the MCU, Loki has been one of the deepest and most complex characters the franchise can offer. He was the Avengers’ first great villain, before his remarkable redemption arc brought him onto the side of Thor and the Hulk against Thanos. Finally getting his own story and being able to step out of his brother’s shadow allowed Loki to shine.

He essentially went through the same redemption arc as he had the past few years, only in the span of six episodes. This was unique, it had the wonderful Tom Hiddleston at the forefront joined by the equally compelling Sophia Di Martino and Owen Wilson, and it was truly excellent.

As a stand alone series, Loki would have been difficult for anyone to follow, however this series wasn’t made to be stand alone. This fed off the previous 13 years of Marvel Studios, and greatly benefited from it. Not only was it a product of what came before it, it will greatly affect the franchise going forward in a way that few other shows will be able to do.

The world of the Time Variance Authority, of Variants, and of the Citadel at the End of Time in the Void, this series could have been too weird for Marvel. However, focusing on its strong characters, with a delicious mystery that led to He Who Remains at the end, Loki was a stand out in all departments.

That being said however, it wasn’t even the weirdest show of them all…
