Every Netflix 2016 TV Series - Ranked In Order Of Anticipation
5. Arrested Development (Season 5)
Fans had all but given up on the idea of more Arrested Development, the cult sitcom that was cancelled by Fox back in 2006. They totally blue themselves when, late in 2011, Netflix announced that they were reviving the series, with all the original cast and crew coming back. It hit almost two years later, and, perhaps inevitably given how long it'd ben and how much it was built up, it was a disappointment. Scheduling conflicts meant it took on a different structure, with episodes taking place at the same time but focusing on different characters. While there were a few standout moments - Gob's episodes were rather fun - it didn't have that same magic. There were then doubts over whether Season 5 was happening, but it has been stated that it will, and is expected sometime in 2016, though exact details remain sketchy. While the first of the revised seasons was underwhelming, the prospect of getting to spend more time with the Bluth family, particular now they know the pitfalls to avoid in developing a series for Netflix, is definitely something to get excited about.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
