Every Power Rangers Series Ranked From Worst To Best

5. Power Rangers DinoThunder

Legendary Battle Power Rangers
Saban Entertainment

Dino Thunder was a great series for a few reasons. Firstly, while it did its own thing and carved out a unique identity, the show felt very reminiscent of previous seasons, thanks to its dinosaur motif and light-hearted - yet dark - tone. Additionally, the biggest highlight is that it brought back veteran Ranger Tommy Oliver (Jason David Frank), in a significant role, instead of just a cameo.

This was also the first series to fully delve into the dinosaur concept, which had only been a moniker in the original series. It had evil dinosaur villains, awesome costumes and a smaller team, which allowed for the spotlight to be shared well between them.

Of course, bringing Tommy - often referred to as Dr O - back into the fray was a fantastic decision. Seeing him as an adult taking on a mentorship role with the younger students felt like the perfect direction for his character. It was a little strange to think of the kick-ass teen as a palaeontology professor, but Jason David Frank worked hard to make it believable.
