Every Season Of Parks And Recreation Ranked Worst To Best

6. Season Five

Parks And Recreation
NBC

It's tough to top one incredible season, never mind two. With both seasons three and four sitting at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, season five had a lot to live up to. Unfortunately, it couldn't quite hit that mark. That's not to say it wasn't a great season, it really was, but it's up against stiff competition.

Season five continues Leslie's rise through the ranks as she tries her hardest to improve the town she loves so dearly. It's a real sucess story as we watch her marry Ben, fix the failing animal department and finally gain traction on the park project.

The real highlight however, is the development of Ron Swanson. The character had already gained cult status with his deadpan attitude, but season five would see a whole new side to him. After the introduction of Lucy Lawless as a new, non-Tammy love interest, Ron became a much more accessible character as he slowly let his guard down.

There is a lot of lessons to learn from Ron's transition. He faced multiple challenges early on, as he realised his stubborn ways needed to change to keep his new love.
