8. What If...? Seasons Two & Three
There are currently only two Disney+ series that are confirmed to be returning for a second season, and in the case of What If…? there is also guaranteed to be a third. Within the realms of the multiverse, this allows the MCU the ability to open its world up more so than anything else.
Though there has been no second season trailer for the series as of yet, there was some footage shown to those in attendance at San Diego Comic Con 2022. This confirmed the return of characters such as Captain Carter, Bucky, Tony Stark, Valkyrie, Korg, Grandmaster, and more. On top of this, familiar MCU characters like Shang-Chi, Wenwu, and Hela will make their animated debuts.
As far as season one goes, What If…? was one of the most inconsistent series to date, boasting episodes that were both incredible and some that were shockingly poor. Naturally, seasons two and three have the potential to go either way.
In theory, this could be a fantastic series, if it were to tie into the wider Multiverse Saga. Everyone thought this would be the case off the back of season one, with a tonne of potential for crossover in the Multiverse of Madness, but so far there has been nothing.
