4. Episode 12: Daniel Espinoza: Naked And Afraid
Poor Daniel Espinoza, trying to be a good dad to Trixie, missing Charlotte terribly since her death, and shockingly having Lucifer’s true identity revealed to him at the end of the first half of the season.
There are many fan theories flying around that Daniel could die in this season, which hasn’t been helped by the showrunner confirming that a main character will die at the end of Season 5, and a thumbnail on the IMDb page of the episode showing Dan lying on the floor covered in blood.
Lesley-Ann Brandt has been quoted as saying the death in this season was especially hard on her "as a parent", so it could be Dan as Trixie’s father who bites the bullet.
A fan theory on Reddit also came up with the plausible idea that Dan could die saving Lucifer from Michael, completing his character arc and going to Heaven to be reunited with Charlotte again.
Kevin Alejandro (Dan) is confirmed as part of the cast in Season Six, as is Tricia Helfer (Charlotte Richards), so could they be featuring in one of the possible afterlife destinations?
