Falcon & The Winter Soldier: 10 Biggest Problems

8. Flat Cinematography And Terrible Editing

Considering how expensive this show was - $150 million, which makes this one of the most expensive TV shows ever made - you'd expect the visuals to be a lot better than they ultimately are.

Sadly, this is an entirely unremarkable work. The cinematography is flat and unadventurous, Kari Skogland's direction is fairly by-the-numbers, and much of the editing (specifically during the action sequences) is truly awful. Some of the special effects could've used a fair bit of work as well.

Put it this way: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier certainly isn't something anyone should feel a need to see on the biggest screen possible.

The MCU has sometimes been criticized for flat, uninspired visuals and that has been an issue with a few of its films. That issue is certainly in evidence throughout this entire series.

Sure, since it's a TV show underwhelming visuals aren't quite as much of a problem as they are in a big-screen blockbuster, but the overall mediocrity of this show's visuals was still jarring considering the huge price tag on this thing.
