Falcon & The Winter Soldier: 10 Biggest Problems

6. Bucky Isn't Interesting Enough To Carry An Entire Series

Let's be honest: Bucky Barnes has always been one of the worst MCU leads.

He was good as a silent killer in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but since then, Bucky has tended to be a bit of a humourless bore who never had any chemistry with anyone else - not even Captain America, despite the fact that they're supposed to be best friends.

Additionally, Sebastian Stan's performance isn't particularly great as he's played the character with one bored-looking facial expression the whole way through.

Thanks to all these issues, Bucky isn't able to carry an entire miniseries. Sam Wilson was always a very good side character and takes up the mantle of protagonist with ease, but Bucky is as uninteresting as ever, and does little more than mope and punch things throughout.

His storyline about coming to terms with his actions as the Winter Soldier showed promise and is solid enough initially, but that isn't quite focused on enough.
