Falcon & The Winter Soldier: 10 Biggest Problems

5. Two Excellent Final Episodes, Four Forgettable Ones

Episodes five and six of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier - Truth and One World, One People respectively - were, legitimately, very good. The writing was consistently strong and all of the character beats came together extremely well. Truth remains the best of the six, but the finale was very strong too.

Unfortunately, the first four episodes of this series weren't all that spectacular. They were decent and watchable, but never anything more than that and there was far too much of a safe, 'been there, done that' feel to the entire thing.

The only thing from those first four episodes that really stood out was the shocking, already-infamous ending to episode four, The Whole World is Watching, in which the new Captain America beat a man to death in the street. Unfortunately, one great scene can't quite redeem an otherwise forgettable episode such as this.

The fact that the final third of the show's run was so good does make one feel more positive about it in hindsight, but it's still a damn shame the series couldn't have kicked into gear a bit earlier than that.
