Family Guy: 10 Best Characters Who Only Appeared In One Episode

Inspired by Jackass, Peter Griffin and his usual cohorts went out to film their own stunts during "The Man with Two Brians," which led to a dire situation. In an attempt to soar over a lake, Peter found himself struggling not to drown. Loyal to his owner, Brian swam out to make the rescue but discovered his aging body could not handle the endeavor. He, too, ended up needing to be saved from the unfortunate scenario.

Lois was furious about the mishap and explained to her husband that Brian was simply getting much too old. In turn, Peter brought home a younger dog named "New Brian." At first, the Griffin gang was charmed by the new pup, but the kind facade ended up annoying Stewie, who ultimately decided he didn't want a different dog in the house.

The main reason fans of the show never saw New Brian again was... well, because Stewie murdered him after he revealed he humped Rupert and framed the entire ordeal as a suicide. All that was left was the memory of him singing "Summer Nights" and "I Like Farts." Still, it seemed as though viewers truly saw into Brian's character whenever he had some direct competition.
