Family Guy: 10 Best Stewie Episodes

7. Stewie Kills Lois/Lois Kills Stewie

While it probably wasn't the best idea to remove the matricidal traits from Stewie Griffin (do cartoon characters really need that much character growth?), the two-part outing Stewie Kills Lois and Lois Kills Stewie served as a solid end to the "Lois must die" era. Except for the fact that the entire episode was a cheat, a what-if scenario simulated by Stewie to see what life would be like if he ever successfully offed mommy dearest. Still, seeing Stewie supposedly finally defeat his mother, only to have her reappear in the second episode, fully aware of her son's twisted side and looking for revenge, is a great moment. And then it's revealed it's all just a simulation. In other words, it's a 'just a dream' episode with a technological twist, and still just as much of a cheat. Had the show given fans a more satisfying reason for both characters surviving and carrying on as if nothing had ever happened (that didn't also involve time travel), this entry would be higher up on the list.
