Making fun of dreadful diseases is a very tricky road to navigate. There are plenty of ways to make it work, so long as you make the target of your joke something lighter - for example, Team America's iconic parody of the popular Broadway show Rent, "Everyone has AIDS". But here, it wasn't quite so well thought out.

This moment is a cutaway from the episode "The Cleveland-Loretta Quagmire" and shows Peter form a barbershop quartet to help doctors relay bad news to their patients. They come in and sing a happy (and admittedly catchy tune), informing the patient lying in the bed that he has "full-blown AIDS".

The moment is undoubtedly funny, as Peter's obliviously flawed idea to give hospital diagnosis through song is an amusing set-up, but that doesn't stop it from being controversial.

Seeing the man lying in bed as Peter and his red waistcoat-clad friends sing a happy tune is pretty rough, and a lot of viewers found the unapologetically poor taste of this one too much to handle.
