Family Guy: 50 Best Episodes

37. Mr. & Mrs. Stewie

Family Guy 37Season: 10 Episode: 19 Original Air Date: April 29th, 2012 One of the longest-running gags on Family Guy is whether or not Stewie is gay. The topic has been discussed on the show repeatedly, with even Stewie saying that he isn't quite sure of his sexual orientation. Even with that said, Stewie has found himself infatuated with a handful of females during the show's tenure, and this was one of those times. Voiced by Cate Blanchett, Penelope is basically the female version of Stewie. They share the same love of weaponry and plots to take over the world. Stewie is immediately smitten, and he begins dastardly adventures with his new love after he finds out that she actually killed her own mother. Stewie, of course, spent much of the early Family Guy days trying to find ways to kill Lois, only to be foiled each and every time. Once Brian finds out what Stewie and Penelope are up to, he tries to get Stewie to have her calm down. Once Penelope discovers this, she is angered, and wants Stewie to kill Brian to prove his love for her. Brian, of course, being Stewie's best friend presents an odd dilemma. When he refuses to do the deed, Penelope says she'll kill Brian herself, and she begins her mission, as Stewie and Brian have to stop her. Episodes that are heavy on Stewie and Brian are almost always winners with FG, and this is another example of that.
