49. The Fat Guy Strangler

Family Guy 49Season: 4 Episode: 17 Original Air Date: November 27th, 2005 We're introduced to Lois' brother, Patrick Pewterschmidt, and everything seems great with everyone getting to know a family member they didn't even know they had. It wouldn't take long, however, for things to begin spiraling out of control. Due to a ridiculous childhood memory of seeing his mother have sex with The Honeymooners star, Jackie Gleason, Patrick has an irrational hatred of fat men, and spends his time strangling them to death. This blends with Peter forming the "National Association For The Advancement Of Fat People" support group, meaning that he continues to bring nothing but obese people around, causing Patrick to fly off the handle. After a coincidental Ralph Kramden (Gleason's character on The Honeymooners) impersonation from Peter, Patrick begins to regain his homicidal tendencies, unbeknownst to the family. The character of Patrick was voiced by Robert Downey Jr., back before his career renaissance in 2008. RDJ's famous personality quirks came shining through in the Patrick character, and the role was really well done, with a nice mix of humor and oddball wholesomeness.
