Family Guy: Each Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

Lois is the most prominent female character on the show, simply due to being the main woman in the Griffin Family. The wife of Peter Griffin and mother of Meg, Chris and Stewie, Lois was often seen as the caring, compassionate mother early on in the series. She would be the voice of reason for Peter and try to talk him out of his shenanigans.

While Lois can be genuinely funny and is one of the more fleshed out characters on the show, her personality has taken some steps backwards in the later seasons. Lois has been showcased to be as mean spirited as Peter at times, bullying Meg, cheating on her husband and distancing her children.

While it is funny to watch Peter do some of these acts, Lois is supposed to be the moral compass of the Griffin family. While she does seemingly learnt from most of these things by the end of the episodes, she goes back to her impulsive ways in later episodes.

The series started with Lois as one of the more morally guided characters in the series, however as the show continues and more about her past and present are displayed, it is obvious that Lois has become just as mean spirited as other residents of Quahog.
