1. Tina Fey
One simple phrase sealed the fate for the show, in a good way of course. Tina Fey is, in my opinion, the greatest comedic writer of my generation(which is Gen Y) and she brought all of her talent to 30 Rock. Her movie roles have helped further her reputation as a comedy icon and her script for Mean Girls is intelligent yet hilarious but where she really belongs is on television. She breathed new life into the Weekend Update segments of SNL while writing some of the funniest sketches the almost 40 year old, classic show has ever had when she was head writer from 2000-2006 before she left to develop 30 Rock. She has featured prominently in every script for 30 Rock whether she was approving jokes or writing them herself, 30 Rock is her show down to every last detail and that's the most important reason why it's so amazing. 30 Rock is what happens when your show is masterminded by the greatest comedic person alive.
