Farscape: 10 Things We Want To See In The Film

9. Moya To The Rescue

Moya is a living ship known as a Leviathan, and was the setting for the majority of the Farscape series. To put it bluntly, having Farscape return without Moya is like having Star Trek without the Enterprise (which only happened for the majority of one film). The 19 years that have passed will mean nothing to her, as her species has a lifespan upwards of 300 years. But how to re-introduce her? Well it would make sense that by now she mostly has a new crew €“ after all, with Ka D€™Argo dead, John and Aeryn on Earth, and Rygel ruling Hyneria once more, the majority of the old crew have moved on. Perhaps, in fact, the only person who might remain from that time would be Stark. This would be an ideal way to introduce new characters if the creators wanted to do so €“ have Moya turn up with five people that the fans haven€™t seen before and one familiar face. The natural way to introduce her into the film would be for Moya to swoop in and save John, Crichton and their son D€™Argo, before starbursting away and getting them all to safety. Perhaps this could be against the wishes of their new crew, immediately creating a degree of animosity between the old crew and new €“ exactly what the writing of the film could thrive on.

I'm a pop culture addict. Television, cinema, comics, games - you name it, and I've done it. Or at least read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia.
