Farscape: 10 Things We Want To See In The Film

5. Don€™t Forget The Frelling Language

Farscape has a language of its own, but Farscape takes this a step further where only the likes of Red Dwarf went before it€ it made up its own swear words. It didn€™t just make up a single one (although frell seemed to be by far the most popular) and instead it had a wide range of terms including frelnik, dren, hezmana and thoddo. With this move it started a bit of a trend €“ certainly the newer version of Battlestar Galactica took this onboard when it created frak to use in that show. It€™s a clever idea and one way to get around the censors while those in the know realise exactly what is going on. So to the writers €“ don€™t yotz this up and forget to include one of the Farscape trademarks. If Aeryn isn't running around in a black costume with a gun yelling frell at Crichton, then something has gone seriously wrong in the scripting department.

I'm a pop culture addict. Television, cinema, comics, games - you name it, and I've done it. Or at least read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia.
