In order to freshen things up and open the door for a potential new series, the film must avoid simply rehashing the past. For this to happen, a potentially massive shake up in galactic affairs needs to take place the Scarrens need to encounter an enemy that really threatens them. Throughout the series the Scarrens were presented as being virtually unstoppable, both in fighting techniques but also in sheer numbers when compared to the Peacekeepers. It was this that motivated Scorpius to pursue wormhole technology, but now that is off the table following The Peacekeeper Wars, it is yet to be seen exactly what DArgos abilities are being sought out for. Could it be that in order to combat a potential threat, the Scarrens have had to make alliances with other races, thus turning pretty much the entire galaxy against the main cast? The thought of something that Scarrans fear would send a chill down the spine of any Farscape fan, as up until now they have been relentless. But they know military tactics and would be both trying to achieve as many alliances as possible and produce as much military research as they can in order to assure their own survival against this new threat. Hopefully it wont be anything that requires a wormhole weapon because as seen in The Peacekeeper Wars, those were a really terrible idea.
