Fear The Walking Dead: 10 Mistakes The Show Can't Afford
8. Offer Something Different
In TWD, the entire theme is survival. The world is broken, seemingly beyond repair, and the one simple goal for characters is to keep blood flowing through their veins and air going into their lungs - it's as simple as that. Fear must offer something different. The show is set at the time of the outbreak at a time when the government is still in place, society is still running, and technology is fully operational. Fear can use these things to offer a new slant on the disaster. It should be more about prevention, rather than conservation. America is under threat, so the initial response needs to be on a massive scale.
