6. Does Nobody Want To Check The Internet?
Okay, so the power is flashing in and out, but there's not really been a lot of emphasis on using the world wide web. Travis had some troubles getting through on his cell phone line, but none of the characters, including text-happy Alicia, have made much of an effort to gather what's going on from the internet. The group say they can't leave on the night because they'd be going out blind, unable to know whether the highways are still flowing. It's a fair comment, but surely somebody should be trying to access information. The truck's radio still works, so why aren't the characters glued to a radio, or even the TV. They're in the dark over what's going on, but they're not even trying to keep up with the world. Of course, consistent use wouldn't be achievable or necessary, but they've at least got to try something so obvious.
