So far only one director has been confirmed for the show, with Adam Davidson slated to direct the first three episodes. Davidson has a lot of TV experience to his name, having directed episodes of Treme, True Blood, Fringe, and Lost to name but a few. He is probably known for his work on Community, for which he directed four episodes across the first two seasons, including the excellent Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design. With the short run of the show, it is of course entirely possible that Davidson will direct all six episodes himself (similar to Cory Fukunaga on True Detectives first season), which would really help the show establish its own visual style outside of The Walking Dead. One of the major highlights of that show is the direction, so having someone who hasnt been involved behind the camera on that one may be a shrewd move if it wants to avoid too many direct comparisons (although its going to get them anyway). Then again, TWD has built up such an impressive collection of regular directors it may not be able to resist asking them to step in. Greg Nicotero, who does some fantastic work as The Walking Deads special effects and make-up wizard - and has directed 11 episodes of the show - is already on board in a similar role, as well as executive producing the series, so he could well helm an episode, while its always great to see more work from someone like Michelle McLaren (who now wont be busy working on Wonder Woman).
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
