The Southeastern setting of The Walking Dead has played a large part in creating the feel of the show, with the large woodland areas around Georgia and Virginia proving a key asset throughout the series as the characters stumble towardswell, it was Washington, and now who knows. Its a wise choice, then, for Fear The Walking Dead to set it somewhere far removed from its parent show, and the area theyve chosen is Los Angeles. Itll give the show a totally different dynamic, and hopefully the creators will be able to use the location to their advantage just as much as has been done on the main show. Seeing how the outbreak unfolds and how citizens react in a major city will certainly be interesting to see, given not much has been seen outside of the area covered by Rick and co. The only slight drawback is that it is still contained within the United States. When the show was first announced, there was speculation it could show the zombie apocalypse on a more global scale, and if they got it right then that couldve been a very interesting setup. That is something they might still explore further down the line, perhaps.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
