Fear The Walking Dead Season 2: 10 Things That Must Happen Next

6. Go All The Way With Chris

Based on the first season of the show, it probably wasn't expected that of all the characters, the one who'd turn into the most violent and even potentially villainous would be Chris.

However, since the death of his mother he's become increasingly unstable, and at the same time discovered an apparent delight in killing walkers, which has progressed to the point where he stood by as Maddie was attacked, and pulled a knife on her and Alicia. Then he ran away, took a boy hostage, and even turned the gun on his father, before eventually being talked down.

Travis and Chris are out on their own in the second half of Season 2, which is good news for the rest of the group, but not so much for Travis. At the moment, Chris is stuck somewhere between Carl, a child looking like turning into a monster, who is pulled back from going that far, and Shane, a man who does become one. I can't see an interesting way of the show bringing Chris back into the fold (although The Walking Dead turned things around with Carl), and in truth he's not a really enjoyable character to watch anyway.

The more interesting development would be to really have his psychosis worsen, and Travis be forced into making a choice. It'd make for some dramatic viewing, allow Chris to cut loose, and then the tragic decision Travis would need to make could drive the character's story going forward.
