Fear The Walking Dead Season 2: 10 Things That Must Happen Next

5. Introduce A New Threat

Fear The WAlking Dead
AMC

Fear The Walking Dead is yet to find itself a truly great human villain. Jack and friends provided some antagonism for a few episodes, and Celia might have become that in time, but the show has decided to move on from there. There's always the chance of some of those characters returning, but right now the biggest threat is the walkers.

That's not necessarily a bad thing, since it is a 'zombie show', but it's going to be at its best when it is really pushing these characters, and testing their humanity, and that requires a human villain (or villains).

The gang Nick had a brief encounter with in the mid-season premiere could return, even if one of them is dead, or it may be someone we've yet to meet. The show doesn't necessarily need a villain as dominant as The Governor just yet, but it is going to get to the stage where it needs someone to pose a major threat, in order to test the characters and produce some more dramatic, intense moments of television.
