8 Female TV Characters Who Get Way Too Much Hate
3. Lori Grimes (The Walking Dead)
Ahhh, the perpetual damsel in distress, Lori Grimes. The supposed embodiment of everything that is wrong with the zombie horror genre.
The biggest knock against Lori is that, at least for the first season, she was always too busy engaging in a ridiculous love triangle to keep an eye on her son, Carl. And while I understand that the Rick/Shane menage-a-ugh was pretty dumb, I have absolutely no problem with her constantly losing track of Carl.
Because Carl is the worst. Especially pubescent Carl. If you had to deal with that kid every day you know you would try your best to lose him in the middle of a zombie outbreak. Stop lying to yourself. You would. Quite frankly, The Walking Dead would be a much better show now if Lori had stopped trying to "lose" him and simply pushed him down a well or something.
She was doing us a favor and we didn't realize it enough to appreciate her for it and now she's gone and WE STILL HAVE TO TOLERATE CARL.
If you have to hate one of the female characters on The Walking Dead, you should hate Andrea. Even though she's (SPOILER) long dead, she still deserves a generous amount of your hate. Seriously, if you want to pause the new episodes right in the middle of a massive zombie attack just to vent about how awful Andrea was for the show, feel free to do so. But leave Lori alone.
