The Flash: 10 Predictions For The Rest Of The Series
3. Caitlin Will Become Killer Frost
Caitlin as well has to come to terms with what or who Firestorm is as a result of his accident, and this may not necessarily work out well for her. Caitlin Snow is the alter-ego of the DC Comics supervillain Killer Frost (or at least one of the supervillains to take that name). This version of the villain works as a Star Labs assistant in the Arctic until the base she is stationed at is attacked, leading her to mess with some of the experimental science she's working on to try to escape, resulting in her transformantion into Killer Frost. A similar story could easily happen with the CW TV Universe with the amount that the Central City Star Labs seems to get attacked - and the amount that it probably will be attacked in the future with the appearance of the Rogues. Killer Frost is mainly a villain for Firestorm but has had a complicated relationship with the character, even having romantic relationships at various points. So far, so fitting with who Caitlin is in the Flash Universe. Her characer arc is definitely set to be tied up with Firestorm's, which could lead to the hero/villain pairing coming into existence. However, Caitlin seems much too kind a character to turn into a villain without something going wrong... Something perhaps in the shape of Harrison Wells. We've already seen that Wells is interested in finding out about other villains and even creating them, given that he's probably had a hand in whatever is going to happen with Grodd and the amount of interest he's shown in other metahumans. We don't know why he's offered to help Caitlin find Firestorm but it's likely there's some nefarious motive behind it all. A nefarious motive like ensuring that Caitlin becomes Killer Frost... There'd also be a lot of character drama if she did turn evil, given that she and Barry Allen are becoming close friends. This would mean that her change would take its toll on more than one hero (it's also likely to affect Firestorm) and be a catalyst for a lot more character development in the series.
