Fortitude: 10 Burning Questions We Already Have
Fortitude is a town of very few people, and even fewer answers.
Sky Atlantic's first real attempt at its very own cult show is now two episodes old, and the mystery, intrigue, suspicion and subterfuge is already as prominent to proceedings as the frozen paradise the show is set in. Fortitude is a town of very few people, and even fewer answers. After the gruesome murder of Professor Stoddard in episode one, the finger of blame is being waved around so much that it's conceivable that anybody could have been the killer. Meanwhile, the town seems to a hotbed (or rather a coldbed) of adultery as almost every resident shacks up with someone else's wife and husband in an attempt to "stay warm". Thrust into the middle of all this is DCI Morton, an American from London sent to conduct his own investigation into the murder and, seemingly, the town itself. Keeping up? It's obvious that Sky are making a deliberate play for the sort of cliffhanger whodunnit that's been sorely missing from TV in the last few years, and even two episodes in there's already a whole host of questions the audience have. Who did this? Where were they? Why did that happen? What on Earth is that? - Fortitude's creators have already opened a big sack of intrigue and poured the question marks all over the floor. In no particular order, here are the 10 questions that audiences will be dying to see answered.
