In a blink and you'll miss it moment from episode 2, DCI Morton notes that Professor Stoddard had actually paused the film he was watching prior to his murder. The implication being that he knew he was being joined by a guest, but didn't expect them to be staying long enough to merit turing off what he was watching. Thanks, of course, to the pause and rewind feature of the professor's Sky+ Box, the detective and his assistant are able to begin watching the film again to gain a small insight into the deceased's frame of mind. Shameless product placement on behalf of the show's creators certainly, but it also raised one of the most puzzling questions of the story so far. As anyone who lives in a built-up residential area in London will tell you, getting a decent Sky signal is haphazard and unpredictable affair anyway, so how Stoddard's managed to get it all set in the middle of the arctic circle is, so far, the biggest mystery of the entire series. Fortitude continues on Sky Atlantic Thursday's at 9. What questions are you desperate to see answered?
