Season 5's The One with All the Resolutions sees one of Ross' least successful dates (and the competition is strong). As the title suggests, this episode sees the gang make New Year's resolutions, with Ross declaring that he is going try something new every day.

This would swiftly prove to be ill-advised. Ross decides he is going to rock leather pants on an upcoming date, and initially, things are going well. However, following a trip to the bathroom, he finds he cannot get back into the trousers, which have now contracted due to his body heat.

Ross' increasingly desperate attempts to squirm into his already ruined clothes are so good they are almost unwatchable, and the conclusion as he sheepishly emerges from the bathroom, pants in hand, and covered in various lotions and talcum powder mean this moment is well deserving of its place on our list.
